Fishing:
Fishing is also called angling, it is the sport of catching fish, freshwater or saltwater, typically with rod, line and hook. it has been around since forever. An Egyptian angling scene of about 2000bc shows figures fishing with rods, lines and nets. A chinese account of about the 4th century BC refers to fishing with silk line, a hook made from a needle, and a bamboo rod with cooked rice as bait.

Over the years fishing has not ceased at all, in fact fishing has grown and grown as time has passed, fishing is now considered a proffesional sport at times.

There is no certain place where we people fish, you can fish in any water deep enough that has fish in it. There is salt water fishing or freshwater fishing, both containing many different types of fish and you can perform different types of fishing in both waters.

The term fishing may be applied to catching other aquatic animals such as different types of shellfish, squid, octopus, turtles and frogs. You can either have recreational fishing which has conventions, rules, licensing restriction and laws that limit in the way fish are caught. The most common form of recreational fishing is done with a rod, reel, line, hooks and any one of a wide range of baits. Fishing is also a sport, you can fish in fishing competitions, but most of the time fish are returned to the water and fisherman record their catch in a log book.
